Fijian 'natural healer' treating Caucau

Rupeni Caucaunibuca: Opted for a Fijian healer

Rupeni Caucaunibuca has been delayed in rejoining his French club Agen because he is being treated by a Fijian natural healer for a shoulder injury, Fijian media report.

Agen suspended Caucaunibuca's contract when he failed to return from a holiday in Fiji by an agreed July 12 deadline, missing a pre-season training camp.

The 30-year-old wing is contracted to the French Top 14 club until September 2011.

Caucaunibuca told Thursday's Fiji Times he was staying in his home village of Nasau with his wife and receiving treatment from a natural healer.

He planned to return to Agen as soon as he was able to travel.

Caucaunibuca says he told Agen management of his injury and they'd agreed to extended leave.
